LISBON — Thea Sweet in the second half off an assist from Eva Shepherd to lift the Hall-Dale girls soccer team past Lisbon 1-0 in a Mountain Valley Conference game Monday afternoon.
Olivia Maynard stopped six shots to earn the victory for Hall-Dale (7-3).
Allie Sult had eight saves for Lisbon (7-2-2).
FIELD HOCKEY
DIRIGO 4, HALL-DALE 1: Emma Luedoig scored three goals and Lauren Henderson added another as the Cougars cruised to the MVC victory.
Jill Whynot scored the lone goal for Hall-Dale while Haley Houdlette had the assist.
Molly French had 30 saves for the Bulldogs.
WINTHROP 3, BOOTHBAY 0: Katriona Hajduk, Emma Conrad and Emily Molino each scored unassisted goals to lift the Ramblers to the MVC win.
Corinna Coulton and Kelly Stratton combined to make eight saves for Winthrop (6-3-3).
Boothbay dropped to 4-6-2.
