AUGUSTA — Addie Brinkman scored off a corner to give the Mt. Blue girls soccer team a 1-0 victory over Cony in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Wednesday afternoon.
Addie Schanz made five saves for Mt. Blue (4-5-2).
Autumn Sudsbury stopped 10 shots for Cony (0-10-1).
BOYS SOCCER
CONY 2, MT. BLUE 1: Conner Perry scored on a penalty kick in double overtime to lift the Rams in Farmington.
Nate Parlin also scored for the Rams (1-9-1), who recorded their first victory of the season.
Evan Bakus scored for Mt. Blue (4-6-1).
FIELD HOCKEY
BOOTHBAY 2, HALL-DALE 1: Sydney Meader scored on a penalty stroke with 15 minutes left in the second half to lift host Boothbay to the Mountain Valley Conference victory.
Nicole LaBrecque scored an unassisted goal and Erika Eamus finished with 21 saves for the Seahawks (5-6-2).
Nicole Pelletier scored the lone Hall-Dale (1-13-0) goal, while Kate Sullivan had the assist. Molly French had 24 saves.
WOMEN’S FIELD HOCKEY
ST. JOSEPH’S 2, THOMAS 0: Theresa Hendrix and Kelsey Dumond scored in the first half to lift the Monks (9-1-0, 3-0-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference) in Waterville.
Abbie Charrier had five saves to pace Thomas (4-9-0, 1-1-0).
