Lewiston’s Isaiah Harris won his heat to qualify for the final in the 800 meters at the USATF Indoor Championship on Saturday in New York.
Harris finished in 1 minute, 47.32 seconds, the third fastest time in qualifying. The winner in each of the four heats and the next two fastest times qualified for the final at 1:47 p.m. Sunday.
Cooper Lutkenhaus, 17, ran the fastest time in qualifying, finishing in 1:47.00. Sean Dolan was second (1:47.17), Brannon Kidder fourth (1:47.71) and Joe Waskom fifth (1:47.72).
