Maine’s next governor must be ready to tackle climate change and protect our environment, economy and health. As a public health scientist, I support Hannah Pingree for governor because she has shown she can take bold, practical action to meet this moment.
Hannah’s leadership was clear when she brought together diverse stakeholders to develop and launch Maine Won’t Wait, the state’s climate action plan. That plan moved Maine forward by making historic investments, strengthening infrastructure and giving communities the resources they need to prepare for extreme weather and take advantage of efficiency and clean energy opportunities.
Hannah has decades of experience finding real solutions in the Legislature and beyond. As speaker of the Maine House, she showed she can manage a crisis while keeping the long view. It is no surprise that so many health and environmental leaders have endorsed her, including former commissioners of the Department of Health and Human Services and Maine Conservation Voters, who gave Hannah their first-ever primary endorsement.
Maine needs a governor who knows how to get results. Please join us in supporting and voting for Hannah Pingree.
