I first came to know Shenna Bellows as a fellow Peace Corps volunteer in Panama in 2001. I was impressed by her good humor, organizational skills and serious work ethic. I’ve followed her career since we both returned to Maine to make our state a better place.
My son was employed in the American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) national office during Shenna’s eight years as executive director of Maine’s ACLU, and he got to work closely with her. Shenna used her passion for justice, organizational and coalition-building skills to bring important benefits to our state like passing marriage equality and protecting abortion rights.
She has a record fighting for our rights and the experience and values to protect them.
Please join me in voting to give Shenna the opportunity to put her intelligence, compassion and experience to work for the people of Maine as our next governor.
