Who is this man who says he is a Christian, the president of a country with a Christian majority, and strictly in office because of a nationalist Christian voting bloc, who, on Easter Sunday, told another nation their “civilization” would end if his conditions weren’t met … in a war he created.
Then, days later, this American president asks Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to “scale back” while the talks are going on. Scale back. Imagine.
Scale back the swelling of hospitals that have no space left to treat the arriving wounded.
Scale back the making of amputees, orphans and widows in countries with small defenses against the onslaught they are under. Scale back the barbarity.
These leaders don’t know the outcomes beneath their words or commands.
The Easter threat was delivered when the founder of the president’s faith emerged from the tomb that hate and violence had placed Him in …to begin a religion that was to be known as one of love and compassion.
How terribly the Christian leader has failed the Champion of his faith.
