Lilly Clark had four hits, including two doubles, and four RBI to lead the Erskine Academy softball team to a 10-0 five-inning win over Lincoln Academy on Friday in Newcastle.
Faith MacMaster had three hits, including a double, for Erskine (3-1), while Kelsie Dunn had two hits, including a double.
Dunn earned a win in the circle, striking out six Lincoln (0-3) batters.
CARRABEC 16, VALLEY 1: Amiya Tibbetts homered and drove in three runs, Karen Baker also had three RBI and scored four times, and the Cobras (2-3) earned a five-inning win over the Cavaliers (0-4) in Bingham.
Tibbetts, Baker, Kendall Scheve and Lilly Kinney all produced two hits and Madison Wyman scored three runs. Jillian Robinson was the winning pitcher, yielding three hits while striking out three without a walk.
Delia Hill, Myranda Beane and Isabella Clark got Valley’s hits.
BASEBALL
EDWARD LITTLE 10, SKOWHEGAN 3: Edward Little ran home early and often on its new home field and cruised to a 10-3 Class A North baseball victory over Skowhegan on Friday in Auburn.
The Red Eddies (3-2), playing the first game on their on-campus baseball field, opened with a four-run first inning. They added five more runs in the bottom of the fourth and one in the fifth.
Catcher Adam Meserve singled twice and drove in two runs for Edward Little. Richie Norgren doubled and had two RBI, Max Kimble also drove in two runs, and Brooks Beaudry doubled, scored twice and knocked in a run.
Jason Aubin doubled and had an RBI for the River Hawks (2-3).
