Leadoff hitter Shelby Veilleux had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI in each game, and Forest Hills swept and East-West Conference softball doubleheader against Richmond, winning 9-7 in Game 1 and 7-6 in Game 2 on Saturday at Jackman.

Forest Hills (4-1) erased a 7-2 deficit in the opener by scoring six runs in the fourth inning. Macie Baker drove in two runs with a single and a double, and Melynda Worster also had two RBI.

Marion Roberts hit a double and a triple for Richmond (2-2).

Despite being held to four hits, the Tigers completed the sweep by scoring in the bottom of the fifth for a walk-off victory in Game 2, which was scheduled for five innings.

Brooke Fournier was 2 for 2 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored for Richmond.

Janessa Moffitt was the winning pitcher in both games.

GIRLS LACROSSE

WAYNFLETE 11, NOKOMIS/MCI 5: Alex Leopold paced the Flyers (2-2) with three goals and two assists in a win over the Warriors (2-3) in Portland.

Talia Melnick and Quinn Culley each added two goals.

Haylee Romasco scored four goals for Nokomis/MCI.

BOYS LACROSSE

CONY/HALL-DALE 14, NORTHERN MAINE 1: Tenny Tibbetts recorded nine goals and Logan Rosa had five assists as the Rams (3-1) defeated the Houlton co-op (0-2) in Augusta.

Cony/Hall-Dale also got two goals from Connor Callahan and a goal and three assists from Alex Leet. Bryce Watson and Michael Massey were the other goal scorers.
