I want to thank Sen. Susan Collins for all of her votes that helped to put our current U.S. Supreme Court justices in place. Yes, Justice Clarence Thomas came before her time (1991), but given Collins’ staunch defense of Brett Kavanaugh in the face of sexual assault allegations, I feel Collins probably would have been a “yes” on Thomas’ appointment.
In fact, the only justice Collins voted against was Amy Coney Barrett. However, she did get a something of a presidential dispensation for that vote; Barrett secured enough support to be appointed in any case.
So, we can be grateful to Sen. Collins for successfully packing the Court with misogynistic, anti-democratic justices, people are content to take down the laws of our country rather than protect the United States — and the world.
