Portland Sea Dogs first baseman Brooks Brannon was named the Eastern League Player of the Week on Monday.

Brannon, 22, was 9 for 15 with two doubles, a triple, three home runs and 11 RBI in four games last week.

In Portland’s 15-13 loss in 10 innings to New Hampshire on Friday, Brannon hit two home runs and drove in six runs. On Sunday, he was 4 for 4 with two doubles, a home run and five RBI in a 12-4 win over New Hampshire.

In 12 games this season, Brannon is hitting .359 with seven home runs, four doubles, a triple, five home runs and 16 RBI.
