The Downtown Waterville Farmers Market moved outside Thursday and will be open 2-6 p.m. every Thursday into November at Head of Falls Park, 60 Front St. in Waterville.

The market was founded in 2006 and has more than 20 vendors.

Tom Roberts, from Snakeroot Organic Farmer in Pittsfield, was there for the first year and is the last of the founding vendors still selling at the market. His family’s farm stand had both vegetables and plants. “We bring some things to cook and something to grow, to try to keep the cooks and gardeners happy,” he said.

Other local farmers markets include: Augusta’s Mill Park Farmers’ Market open 2-6 p.m. Tuesdays, Hallowell’s farmers’ market from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays at 2 Beech St., and the Wayne Farmers’ Market held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
