David Costello’s approach to the economy is why I am voting for him for U.S. Senate in the June 9 Democratic primary. He supports raising wages, protecting workers’ rights and expanding tax relief. He understands that lasting prosperity requires investment in our infrastructure, small businesses, research and rural Maine, and that large corporations and the wealthiest pay their fair share.
In my work as a shopkeeper and elected official, I see prices rising while federal priorities feel increasingly disconnected from the everyday needs of working people. He recognizes that.
Costello understands access to affordable healthcare, especially in rural communities where hospitals and services are under strain, is essential to economic strength. A healthy Maine is a prosperous Maine.
At a time when politics is often loud and extreme, Costello offers something rare: a steady, practical path forward. David Costello has earned my vote on June 9.
