Joe Vogatsky and Caleb Bolden combined for four scoreless innings of relief, and the Portland Sea Dogs pushed across a run in the top of the 10th inning to extend their winning streak to three games with a 2-1 victory over the Hartford Yard Goats in an Eastern League game Friday night in Hartford, Connecticut.
Automatic runner Ahbram Liendo advanced to third with nobody out in the 10th on a single by Max Ferguson, then scored the go-ahead run as Nate Baez grounded out.
Bolden retired all three batters he faced in the bottom of the 10th, nailing down the save for Vogatsky, who allowed one hit and one walk while striking out three over three innings.
The Sea Dogs also got a strong outing from John Holobetz, who gave up three hits and one run in five innings after Red Sox reliever Danny Coulombe made a scoreless rehab appearance in the first inning.
Portland got its first run in the fifth inning on a double by Nelly Taylor and a single by Tyler McDonough. Holobetz allowed a home run by Bryant Betancourt in the sixth.
