The gubernatorial “chase” gives us many choices. As an unenrolled voter, I will vote in the Democratic primary. That choice has not been easy. I have voted for many Republicans in the past, but those choices this year are too hard-lined for me.
The Democratic choices have strengths in both government and leadership. I could be happy with any of them. My first choice is Shenna Bellows.
I lived in Bellows’ district when she was a state senator. She attended every town meeting. She would come early to engage with voters and listen. When I emailed her about an issue, she always responded, a couple times by phone. I have never felt any elected representative cared as much about doing a great job.
Bellows has extensive leadership experience, including both within government and leadership in the nonprofit sector. She knows how to get things done. Shenna Bellows walks the walk.
