Cheverus is again the unanimous No. 1 in the Varsity Maine softball poll, but now there’s also a unanimous No. 2. Oxford Hills didn’t receive a first-place vote, as it did last week, but still received one more point due to receiving every second-place vote.
Gardiner made a big leap from just outside the rankings to fifth. The Tigers had a big week, defeating Monmouth, Nokomis and then Medomak Valley in a showdown of the top teams in B North and B South.
Westbrook also moved from outside to No. 8 in the polls, while Bonny Eagle jumped from 10th to seventh.
The Varsity Maine softball poll is based on games played before May 19, 2026. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
