Senior Casey Monson scored five goals and Cony girls lacrosse beat Mt. Ararat 14-9 on Tuesday in Augusta.
Gabby Vachon and Katelynn Dutil chipped in with three goals apiece for the Rams (4-5). Vachon also had two assists.
Avery Creek paced the Eagles (5-4) with four goals. Hannah Hunt scored twice.
BOYS LACROSSE
LEWISTON 11, OAK HILL 7: Collin Michaud recorded three goals and three assists to help the Blue Devils (3-5) pull away for a win over the Raiders (0-7) in Wales.
Lewiston trailed 3-2 at halftime but scored four goals in the third quarter and five in the fourth.
Ben Gradwell added three goals and two assists for the Blue Devils. Myles Walker chipped in two goals and an assist, Tegan Dugal also had two goals, and Cam Plourde scored once.
Will Hinkley scored three goals for Oak Hill, while PJ Smith, Gabe Godbout, Gavin Tardif and Colton Poulin each had one.
BASEBALL
WINTHROP 4, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 3: The Ramblers (5-4) turned two hits and four walks into four runs, which was enough to defeat the Phoenix (2-7) in Winthrop.
Winthrop trailed 3-0 after three innings but scored the final four runs. The Ramblers’ two hits were a triple by Clyde Moody and a single by Carter Rand.
Wyatt Grant pitched all seven innings for Winthrop, striking out nine, walking one and scattering seven hits.
Spruce Mountain’s Trent Lovewell tossed a two-hitter with four walks and 10 strikeouts. Brody Veilleux was 3 for 3 with an RBI and a run, and Kolby Cotton recorded two hits.
