Mainers are being subjected to commercials on broadcast TV and YouTube spuriously asking, “Who is the real Graham Platner?” and painting Platner as a hateful person.
The question Mainers should be asking themselves is, “Who is the real Pine Tree Results PAC?”
The answer is that Pine Tree Results PAC is a dark-money super PAC funded by extreme right-wing billionaires, including Stronger America Inc., based in Arlington, Virginia; private equity colossus Blackstone co-founder and CEO Steven Schwarzman; and Lexington Fund, another out-of-state entity, tied to conservative Leonard Leo.
If people want to know who the real Platner is, they should go listen to him, speak with him and judge for themselves. Meanwhile, Sen. Susan Collins is in hiding from any direct interaction with citizens and voters of Maine.
