I write in strong support of Angus King III for governor because of his values, his work ethic and his experience. He has an impressive record for building things and solving problems that make life better for people. He knows how to get things done and be accountable for the results and dollars involved.
I joined King on a trip to Aroostook County last fall. He enjoyed meeting with potato growers, educators, business and community leaders and others. He was impressed by their passion for their work, family and community. He also listened carefully to the challenges folks are facing. He wasn’t there to talk at people. Instead, he took stock of the problems Mainers were facing and was hungry to learn how the state could do better. I’ve known him for over 30 years and I am confident that is how he would be as governor.
