The “abortion pill” (mifepristone) should be free. So many young women, particularly young women of color, find themselves “in trouble” and nowhere to turn. They can’t get an abortion, they can’t get the “abortion pill” and they’re too young or immature to take care of an unwanted and fatherless child.

So, now the taxpayers have the burden of caring for the the mother and child, who now get public housing, welfare checks, SNAP benefits and free healthcare for the child and mother — very often for life. We’re talking easily hundreds or thousands of dollars for a lifetime of care because “we” don’t like her having the pill. Let the girl or woman and family decide.
