The last two Republican presidents — George W. Bush and the current occupant of the White House — have down four things: cut taxes for the morbidly wealthy; blow our country’s debt into the stratosphere with the same unnecessary tax cuts for people who don’t need them; start a completely unnecessary and insanely expensive war in the Middle East; and cause inflation and recession for average Americans.
Yet the myth that Republicans are good for the economy persists.
When Republicans govern, the rich get richer and average Americans get left holding the bag for debt that Republican economic policies create.
