As a recent college graduate beginning my career, I think a lot about my future in Maine and what my generation will inherit. I believe Garrett Mason once felt, and still does feel, the same way.
What I appreciate about Mason is that he represents a new generation of conservative leadership. At 40 years old, he understands the pressures younger Mainers face because he is still living many of them himself. He is relatable, energetic and focused on the issues that matter to working people and young professionals.
As an accountant, I also see firsthand how high taxes and poor economic policies are crushing families and small businesses. Garrett Mason has a proven record of supporting lower taxes and responsible government. In fact, he was part of one of the largest tax cuts in Maine history.
I believe he is the kind of leader Maine needs right now.
