I’m writing to pass along the perspective of an ordinary person about the direction that our state and country might take. I have never held office but did have a career in public service. As public servants, we answered to everyone who counted on us to protect them, keep them safe and make their lives better.

Angus King III will bring us to a place where Americans exchange ideas with logic, courtesy and respect for the facts and the law, a time when our leaders respect, rather than vilify, those who may have different ideas.

Future Gov. King will be instrumental in creating a world where we wake up each day and the news is about how the lives of Americans are safer and better, that day and in the future.
