Bryant Betancourt capped a six-run rally in the top of the ninth inning with a double that drove in three runs, lifting the Hartford Yard Goats to an 8-7 win over the Portland Sea Dogs in an Eastern League game Friday night at Hadlock Field.

Three Sea Dogs pitchers held Hartford to two hits through eight innings, but four walks in the ninth fueled Hartford’s comeback.

GJ Hill cut the deficit to 7-5 with his second home run of the game, a three-run blast off Cooper Adams. Two walks by Adams and one by Patrick Halligan loaded the bases with two outs for Betancourt, who lofted a pinch-hit double off the wall in left center.

Portland scored all its runs in the sixth inning, highlighted by an Ahbram Liendo grand slam, to erase a 2-0 deficit.

The Sea Dogs produced only two hits through five innings, but they loaded the bases in the sixth on two walks and a single by Will Turner. Liendo then hit an 0-2 pitch over the Green Monster in left field for his third home run of the season.

After a walk to Franklin Arias and a base hit by Marvin Alcantara, both runners advanced on a wild pitch and scored on a Nate Baez single. Brooks Brannon capped the rally with a double to left center, as Baez beat the tag at the plate.

Dalton Rogers was in line for a win after pitching four hitless innings in relief of Hayden Mullins. He struck out three and walked three.
