Brenda Fleury
MOUNT VERNON – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Fleury, age 73, on May 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of her children and held in their arms. Brenda’s legacy will be remembered through the love she shared, the lives she touched, her iconic red hair, and the strength she carried throughout her entire life.
Brenda was born on July 4, 1952, in Danvers Mass., to parents, Roger Williams and Gladys “Kay” Williams. She attended schools in Massachusetts, Brunswick Maine and graduated from Sunnyvale High School in California, Class of 1971. She completed cosmetology school on a full scholarship followed by college classes in professional photography. Brenda retired after nearly three decades, as the beloved administrative assistant, at Mount Vernon Elementary School.
Among Brenda’s many accomplishments were multiple cross-country road trips, courageously delivering both of her children while living overseas and her time spent “chasing brides in Boston.” She photographed many families’ and friends’ weddings and senior pictures and provided family haircuts.
Brenda created a welcoming home where her children’s friends could always find comfort, laughter, and a jar full of homemade cookies. She enjoyed building her home with her husband in Mount Vernon, tending to her plants, flower and vegetable gardens, baking, crafts, classic country music, singing, and dancing. Brenda was faithful at attending her grandchildren’s events and treasured her large extended family, many dear friendships, and her role as a social butterfly.
Brenda was predeceased by her parents and grandparents. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Phil Fleury; her son, Ryan Perkins and his fiancé Brittany Morin and daughter, Sara Studholme and her husband Aaron. She also leaves with love, her cherished grandchildren, Keaghan Perkins, Ryleigh Davis and Ella Perkins; great grandchild, Paityn Deleskey, with another great granddaughter on the way; her siblings and their spouses: sister, Debra Harris (Adrian), sister, Rhonda Jones (Steve), and brother, Roger Williams (Sherry). Brenda also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Brenda’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and utmost appreciation to Beacon Hospice, with special attention to Candice, as well as the staff of Glenridge Memory Care facility in Augusta, who loved and cared for Brenda over the last 15 months.
A private burial will be held in Mount Vernon, followed by a public celebration of life. The location and dates are yet to be determined but will be announced via Facebook.
Arrangements are under the care of Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington Maine, where memories, photos and condolences may be shared at http://www.dsfuneral.com
