Lorraine Suetterlein
AUBURN – Lorraine Suetterlein, 93, passed to her eternal home on July 11, 2026. She was born to Edwin and Mabel Hall in Stowe, Vt., growing up on a farm and attending a one-room schoolhouse. It was in that schoolhouse that she attended an American Sunday School Union Sunday school and at an early age dedicated her life to the Lord.
After graduating from Stowe High School in 1951, she attended and graduated from Houghton College, where she met her husband, David. In 1955, they were married and did ministry work together for 40 years. She taught for 25 years in the public schools of North Arlington, NJ.
Upon retirement, they built their log home on Lake Cochnewagon in Monmouth, Maine. For many years they wintered in Winter Haven, Fla. and summered in Monmouth.
In 2016, they moved to Brookdale Senior Living where David went to be with the Lord in 2020. Son, Stephen, then bought her a home next to his in Bristol, Tenn. where she lived until her passing.
She is survived by two sons, Peter (Karen) and Stephen (Terry); five grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service with be Tuesday, July 14 at 9:30 a.m. at East Monmouth Methodist Church in East Monmouth. Committal will be private.
