Saco police are seeking the public’s help in locating a woman and possibly other persons who stole 30 Christmas wreaths from headstones at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Sgt. Scott Sicard said the thefts occurred between Dec. 1 and 5 in the cemetery off Beach Street.

A concerned family member placed a hidden surveillance camera in the cemetery, and it caught a woman stealing a two wreaths from a grave marker, Sicard said.

Sicard said police believe the woman was driving a black Ford Explorer.

Wreaths can be purchased from the people who manage the cemetery.

Anyone with information regarding the woman or the thefts from the cemetery is urged to contact the Saco Police Department at 284-4535.
