As we celebrate Christmas, and later the New Year, I would hope that all would take a moment to also celebrate and remember all our young men and women serving all over the world to be sure we all will be able to keep on with the celebrations year after year, as our forefathers and subsequent generations did their duty to be sure America would always be free.
People are urged to email, Skype or mail a letter to loved ones or neighbors serving in the military, or send a care package to any service member. Those who are serving will appreciate the gift.
We have 180 bases throughout the world and millions of people who are stationed at them.
This veteran served three years overseas and remembers getting letters and packages that reminded him he was not alone. Please remember our service members.
