NEWPORT — Jordan Lamb scored a career-high 21 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the Gardiner boys basketball team to a 78-61 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B win over Nokomis on Friday night.

Seth McFarland scored 16 points and had nine rebounds. Brad Weston added 11 points for the Tigers (11-2).

Alex Baird scored 14 points for the Warriors (2-11). Josh Smestad added 10 points.

CONY 76, LAWRENCE 55: Liam Stokes scored 16 points to lead the Rams to a KVAC A win over the Bulldogs in Fairfield.

TJ Cusick scored 10 points, while Tayler Carrier added nine for Cony (9-4).

Dustin Simpson-Bragg scored 24 points for Lawrence (2-11). Seth Powers added 11 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

RICHMOND 32, VINALHAVEN 28: Kelsea Anair scored 14 points and Meranda Martin added seven to lead the Bobcats to the Western D victory in Richmond.

Richmond, which led 24-11 at the half, improved to 7-4.

Gilley Anne Oakes scored a team-high 13 points to lead the Vikings (3-6).

MARANACOOK 59, MCI 51: Liz D’Angelo scored 16 points and finished with 11 rebounds to lead the Black Bears to the KVAC victory in Readfield.

Sarah Clough scored 18 points and Catherine Sanborn added 16 for Maranacook (11-2), which played the bulk of the game without standout Christine Miller.

Miller suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter and did not return.

April McAlpine led MCI (4-9) with 14 points while Ashley Alton added 12.

OXFORD HILLS 64, MESSALONSKEE 47: Oxford Hills outscored Messalonskee 22-6 in the second quarter and cruised to the KVAC A victory in South Paris.

Anna Winslow had 20 points and Tianna Sugars 14 to lead the Vikings (11-2). Sophie Holmes led the Eagles (6-7) with 12 points while McKenna Brodeur added 11.
