PALERMO — The Living Communities Foundation will begin its monthly dinner-and-a-movie series with a history of the environmental movement on Jan. 30.

“A Fierce Green Fire” is both cautionary and triumphant as it spans 50 years of global and local activism to help save our Earth and all life upon it, according to a news release from the foundation. As a result, our civilization and values have changed, and our consciousness has elevated, as we realize how much is yet to be done.

A potluck meal is planned for 6 p.m., followed by the movie in the downstairs screening room at the Palermo Community Center, Turner Ridge Road. The event is free.
