Bessey Motors swept a doubleheader with Franklin County with two walk-off 4-3 wins to remain undefeated in Zone 2 American Legion.

Bessey rallied for two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning of the first game, with Jake Spinhirn driving in the winning run. In game two, Nick Attaliades-Ryan broke a 3-3 tie with an RBI single in the ninth.

Riley Chickering picked up the win in relief in both games for Bessey Motors (12-0). He also had a pair of doubles. Ryan Pratt had two singles in the opener. Colton Lawrence took the loss in the nightcap despite allowing just one earned run while scattering eight hits and two walks and fanning seven.

RTD Madison 39ers 14, WALDO 4: Will Stinson doubled and drove in five runs and D.J. Allen homered as the RTD Madison 39ers ran away from Waldo in Zone 1 baseball action.

Dallon Stevens and Chase Nelson also contributed doubles to RTD’s (5-6) 14-hit attack. Nelson picked up the win on the mound with eight strikeouts. Zach Collier doubled and tripled for Waldo (2-10).
