Jackie Dupont is running for to represent Ward 7 on City Council.

Three good reasons to vote for her:

• As chairwoman of the South End Neighborhood Association, she has done a great job organizing the community to enhance programming for kids, such as the South End Bike Repair and Swap and the South End Festival.

• She never fails to listen to her constituents’ concerns and to do the best she can to help them. Even when they have a different opinion on issues, she takes thoughtful account of what they say. She’s smart. She recognizes that there are many strategies to achieving the same goal.

• Jackie is a genuinely caring person who takes pride in her ward, focusing on the strengths, and making sure the concerns of residents are always part of the larger conversation.

I urge Ward 7 residents to vote for Dupont on Nov. 3.
