Oak Hill High School’s Little Theatre in the Woods will present the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical classic “Cinderella” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 22 and 23 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24. This timeless enchantment of a magical fairytale was originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews in the title role, and was the most widely viewed program in the history of the medium.

Its recreation in 1965 starring Lesley Ann Warren was also successful in transporting a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of dreams-come-true, and so was a second remake in 1997, which starred Brandy as “Cinderella,” and Whitney Houston as the “Fairy Godmother”. As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the glass slipper fits.

The OHHS cast includes Angelique James as Cinderella, Dylan Wing as the Prince, and Cassandra Lovell as the Fairy Godmother.

The Stepmother is played by Katelyn Lemay, and the two stepsisters, Joy and Portia are played by Michaela Gervais and Kaitlyn Cloutier. Other featured characters include the King, played by James Greenwood, and the Queen, played by Katie Daigle.

Rounding out the cast are Hayley Salger, Rachel Lovell, Sam Guilford, Noah Leclair, Izik Juray, Annie Giroux, Isabella Coulombe, Ruby Adams, Daisy Cole, Casey Daigle and Leah Herrick. The musical is directed by Lucy Rioux, with music direction provided by John Neal. The technical director is Laura Eldridge and costume design and construction is provided by Lyn Swan. The technical crew includes Emma Curtis, Naomi Obenhaus, Kasey Doyle, Linus Obenhaus, and Devon Kelly, with special help from Jan Obenhaus and Tenisha Bourget.

Tickets cost $6 and $3 for students and will be available at the door.
