Waterville Junior High School held its annual Geography Bee Jan. 14 and 15. Twenty-one students participated; they were the top scorers from their social studies classes. Six participants advanced to the final round, they were Surya Amundsen, Destiny Bragdon, Joseph Macarthur, Rebecca Maheu, Vincent Palmer, David Ramgren and Inga Zimba.

The school champion is David Ramgre, the son of Sarah and Jon Ramgren. David has taken a test at the Junior High and hopes to qualify for the State Geography Bee held in April.

The runner-up is Joseph Macarthur.
