AUBURN — Joe Bowering and Liam Welch each scored four goals to help the Mt. Blue boys lacrosse team sink St. Dominic 14-5 on Friday afternoon.
Reed Wells added three goals and an assist for Mt. Blue (4-2) while Cordell Ellis had two goals and two assists. Colton Chandler also scored and Alex Gilbert had 12 saves.
Brenden Donovan had three goals and an assist for St. Dominic (0-7) while Reese Farrell had two goals and three assists. Alex Michael made 18 saves.
MESSALONSKEE 13, WESTBROOK 9: Connor Smith led four Eagles with hat tricks and had three assists to lead Messalonskee in Westbrook.
Will Weeks, Dylan Jones and Austin Pelletier also notched three goals for Messalonskee (5-2). Dawson Charles made seven saves in goal. Tyan Shackley, Noah Oliver and Curtis Knapton scored two goals each for the Blue Blazes (4-3).
LAWRENCE 7, ERSKINE 6: Gunner McAllister scored three goals and three assists to lead the Bulldogs in Fairfield.
Connor Martin and Logan Fortin each scored two goals for Lawrence (4-3). Erskine dropped to 1-7.
SOFTBALL
OAK HILL 5, CARRABEC 0: Makayla Nadeau pitched a two-hitter to spark the Raiders to the Mountain Valley Conference victory in North Anson.
Jamie Prue added two singles for Oak Hill (9-1) while Emma Hlister, Abby Nadeau and Charlotte Waterman each doubled.
Carrabec dropped to 6-4.
SKOWHEGAN 14, LAWRENCE 2, 6 innings: Sydney Ames had two triples and a single to lead the Indians (5-5) to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A victory in Skowhegan.
The Indians hit five triples, including ones from Julia Steeves Sydney Reed and Bonnie-Jane Aiken. Ashley Alward struck out 12 in six innings to earn the victory.
Suther Bickford doubled to lead Lawrence (2-7).
MADISON 21, WISCASSET 2: Aly LeBlanc had four hits and drove in eight runs as the Bulldogs cruised to the MVC victory in Wiscasset. Ashley Emery also drove in three runs as Madison improved to 10-0. Wiscasset fell to 1-9
ERSKINE 13, WATERVILLE 1: Kayla Hodgkins tossed a two-hitter and helped her own cause with three singles to lead the Eagles to the KVAC B win in South China.
Amber Grady also had three singles for Erskine (7-3).
Waterville falls to 5-4.
MESSALONSKEE 1, OXFORD HILLS 1: Kirsten Pelletier struck out 17 and allowed just four hits and no walks as the Eagles and Vikings played to a draw in Oxford Hills. Sierra McLellan had two hits for the Eagles (9-0-1). Cody Akres pitched all 10 innings for Oxford Hills (5-4-1).
BASEBALL
ERSKINE 12, WATERVILLE 2, 5 innings: Caleb Barden belted a three-run homer and Cody Taylor rapped two doubles as Erskine slugged its way to a KVAC B win in South China.
Noah Bonsant had three singles for the Eagles (7-3). Andrew Roderigue led the Purple Panthers (5-4) with two singles.
CARRABEC 7, OAK Hill 5, 5 innings: Carrabec scored three runs in the fourth inning to rally to victory over Oak Hill in a game shortened by rain in North Anson.
Dylan Willette and Hunter Fernald tripled for the Cobras (5-5). Jonah Martin doubled for the Raiders (1-9).
OXFORD HILLS 1, MESSALONSKEE 0: Blake Slicer pitched a perfect game, retiring all 21 batters he faced as the Vikings prevailed in a KVAC A game in Oxford Hills.
The Vikings (7-3) had six hits and scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Messalonskee dropped to 5-4.
