All members of both houses of Congress are responsible for America’s gun violence crisis.

Those who are bribed by the NRA are clearly at fault. But those legislators who favor common-sense gun control laws are equally responsible, because they are too cowardly to openly oppose the NRA, and too cowardly (and apparently don’t feel the need) to influence their colleagues to act sanely, morally and in accordance with the wishes of the vast majority of their constituents.

If I sound exasperated, it is because of the criminal inability of elected lawmakers to own their personal responsibility for this tragic situation of gun violence in America.
