A car crash on I-295 in Freeport is causing delays Thursday morning.

The crash, involving multiple vehicles, was reported just before 7:40 a.m. State Police briefly closed both southbound lanes to move the vehicles out of the road, according to an emergency dispatcher.

State Police were still on scene just before 9 a.m.

No other details were immediately available.
