READFIELD — The Readfield Cemetery Committee, Union Meeting House and Readfield Historical Society will host a tour featuring the history of and current renovations at the Union Meeting House starting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Union Meeting House, Church Road.
After a brief walk to the Readfield Corner Cemetery, historian Dale Potter-Clark will share stories about those who founded the Union Meeting House, Maine governors, and those who have served our country with valor.
Members of the Cemetery Committee will also give a stone cleaning demonstration to show their ongoing effort to preserve and restore historical stones.
Refreshments will be provided by Lakeside Orchards. A rain date of Oct. 22 has been set.
