FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce will present a forum regarding two of the citizen initiated ballot questions that will appear on the ballot this November. The forum will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, in the Lincoln Auditorium at the University of Maine at Farmington.

Pros and cons of Ballot Question 2 “An act to establish the fund to advance public kindergarten to grade 12 education” and Question 4 “an act to raise the minimum wage” will be discussed.

Discussing Question 2 will be John Kosinski of Stand Up for Students and Ted Johnston of Political Action Committee No on Question 2.

Presenting Question 4 will be Garrett Martin of the Maine Center for Economic Policy and the Curtis Picard of the Retail Association of Maine.

Each presenter will discuss the issue with an opportunity for questions from attendees.

Bill Crandall, program manager of Western Maine Community Action, will be the moderator. This event is free.
