I don’t often agree with Gov. Paul LePage, but his appointment of Patsy Crockett to fill the Kennebec County commissioner vacancy created by the death of Beverly Daggett is one I agree with wholeheartedly.
Patsy brings to the position a decade of experience with county issues and first-hand knowledge on how each of Maine’s 16 counties have dealt with the problems each faced — some with good solutions and others not so good. She’s already applying her experience to assist her fellow commissioners in developing solutions for the variety of issues Kennebec County faces.
I recommend voters in District 1 that allow Patsy the remaining two years of Daggett’s term to prove that the governor’s appointment is a keeper.
