PITTSFIELD — The Pittsfield Public Library announces the following summer events:

* The library is offering free Sea Dogs tickets for all summer reading participants.

* The L.C. Bates Museum will present Fascinating Fossils at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at in the Warren Community room. Participants can learn how fossils form and have an opportunity to examine the museum’s fossil collection, including Maine State fossils and dinosaur fossils.
