READFIELD — The United Methodist Women from the Readfield United Methodist Church, 1565 Main St., will host a shopping day for children from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, downstairs in Fellowship Hall.

All children in surrounding communities between the ages of 5-12 can shop for Christmas gifts for their parents and siblings. All gifts will be $1 or less.

Volunteers will help children make their selections and wrap their purchases. Parents can have coffee or tea and doughnuts while the children shop.

All proceeds will be used to help a local family who might need fuel or other assistance.
