WATERVILLE — Four different players scored in double figures to pace the Messalonskee boys basketball team to a 77-35 win over Waterville on Wednesday.
Cole Wood led the way with 15 points for Messalonskee (5-2) while Griffin Tuttle and Nathan Violette scored 14 apiece and Dawson Charles added 10.
Waterville (0-6) was led by Jack Lloyd with 11 points and David Barre with six.
RANGELEY 57, PINE TREE 40: Kyle LaRochelle scored 32 points to lead the Lakers to the Class D win at the University of Maine at Farmington.
LaRochelle added five rebounds and four assists for Rangeley (2-4). Carl Trafton chipped in with eight points, seven assists and five rebounds.
Najee Jean-Louis led Pine Tree (2-2) with 16 points.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
RANGELEY 30, PINE TREE 22: Natasha Haley had 16 points and seven rebounds to lead the Lakers to the Class D win at the University of Maine at Farmington.
Brooke Egan added five points and four assists for Rangeley (5-1).
Alexandra Goodman scored 11 points to lead Pine Tree (3-1).
BOYS HOCKEY
WATERVILLE 4, HAMPDEN 1: Zach Menoudarakos and Justin Wentworth each scored twice to lead the Purple Panthers to the win in Hampden.
Cody Pellerin and Andrew Roderigue had two assists apiece for Waterville (6-0-0). Nathan Pinnette made 16 saves.
Mark Thibodeau scored for Hampden (5-3-0). Cole Benner stopped 40 shots.
