JAY — Aimee Adams scored 14 points and Leslie Stevens added 13 as the Gardiner girls basketball team sank Spruce Mountain 60-44 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference game Thursday night.

Lauren Chadwick scored 12 points for the Tigers (4-2), which out-scored Spruce Mountain (2-5) 30-19 in the second half.

Logan Granholm aso grabbed a team-high 14 rebounds while Adams had 12 for the double-double.

Alex Bessey scored a game-high 26 points for Spruce Mountain.

LAWRENCE 72, ERSKINE 22: Molly Folsom scored 20 points and Hunter Mercier added 18 as the Bulldogs cruised to the KVAC A victory in Fairfield.

Morgan Boudreau finished with 15 points for Lawrence (4-3).

Lauren Wood and Catherine Silva each had six points for Erskine (2-6).

WINTHROP 45, HALL-DALE 36: Kena Souza scores 14 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead the host Ramblers to the MVC win.

Aaliyah Wilson-Falcone added eight points for Winthrop (3-3) while Jillian Schmelzer had seven.

Sabrina Freeman led Hall-Dale (0-8) with 14 points while Amanda Benner chipped in with nine.

BOYS BASKETBALL

GARDINER 68, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 60: Connor McGuire scored 22 points, nine in the decisive fourth quarter including all eight of his free throws, to lift the host Tigers to the Class B win.

Cole Heaberlin added 15 points, including seven in the fourth quarter, for Gardiner (4-2). Hunter Chasse was also in double figures with 13 points.

Spruce Mountain (6-1) was led by Austin Darling with 18 points.

MADISON 59, OAK HILL 42: Nick Morales and Mitch Jarvais combined to score 45 points as the Bulldogs earned the home victory.

Morales scored 23 points while Jarvais added 22 for Madison (7-0).

Marcus Bailey led Oak Hill (5-3) with 12 points while Cohen Donnell chipped in 11.

BOYS HOCKEY

CONY 6, WINDHAM/WESTBROOK 1: Avery Pomerleau scored twice to lead Cony to the win.

Cam Wilson added a goal and two assists for Cony/Monmouth/Hall-Dale (4-1) while Noah King, Cole Lockhart and Joe Arps also had a goal. Dalton Bowie made 11 saves.

Derek Corbett scored for Windham/Westbrook (2-4). Shawn White stopped 45 shots.
