Craig Uecker is the guest fly tier at the Gray Ghosts’ fly tying class. His two flies (Hollow Fleye and Reverse Marabou) are tied with a minimal amount of material but create large profiles on the water. An instructor at the L.L. Moosehead Togue Derby, all day Jan. 27-29 in Greenville
The Moosehead Lake region will again host the togue derby that annually draws 1,000 to 3,000 fishermen. There will be cash prizes for the three biggest togue. Those who aren’t fishing can enter drawings for door prizes, including trips to Las Vegas and Orlando, Florida. Derby tickets are on sale at NRECmoosehead.org.
