STRATTON — The Dead River Area Historical Society’s pictorial 2018 calendars are available.
The cover features Stratton High School class of 1968 with Marie Tasker, Kathleen Webber, Judy Bigelow, Huguette Dube, Carlene Wilbur, Gregory Scribner, Timothy Targett, Morris Henderson, Richard Fotter, Richard Frost and Floyd Nile.
January features Maude Wing’s house being moved from Flagstaff to Eustis, fall of 1949.
In February, Dead River School Feb. 1, 1939 is featured with Christine Donahue, Gladys Bean, Vernon Bean, Betty Safford, William Wing, Anna Bean, believed to be Olive Donahue, Gladys Safford, Francis Taylor, teacher, Leon Wing, George Wing and Florian Burbank.
March features Big Jim Pond Camps, postmarked 1930.
In April, Eustis High School grades 11 and 12, 1954-55, shows Raymond Hanson, Merlin Nile, Judy Scribner, Allen Phelps, Ruth Hanson, Sam Wilbur, Marilyn Morris, Joan Townsend, John Garand, Corinne Doyle, Thomas MacDonald, Daryl Durrell. Andy Garand and Ronald Wyman.
In May, Jack Codding and Charles W. Stevens are shown with a togue.
In June, The Bungalow in Eustis, early 1900s, featured.
July features a general view of the camps at King and Bartlett.
In August, Kennedy Smith of Eustis Ridge, late 1800s, a guide and local entrepreneur.
September features Mount Bigelow from Dead River Plantation, circa early 1900s.
In October, The Arnold Trail along Chain of Ponds, 1930, shown.
November features The Stratton, 1923 (now The Plaza).
In December, the new bridge over Stratton Brook under construction, circa 1950s, is shown.
The back page of this calendar features a paragraph about each photograph.
Calendars can be purchased at Flagstaff General, Pine’s Market and Fotter’s Market.
