The Rangeley Friends of the Arts will sponsor its annual Walk to Bethlehem celebration Sunday, Dec. 10.
This unique event, which recreates Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem, will begin at 5:30v p.m. at the Rangeley Inn, with the reading of Caesar Augustus’ decree that all people must return to the city of their birth. The walk, led by community members costumed as nativity figures, will meander through the streets of Rangeley, stopping at downtown churches for a carol.
The walkers will be treated to a family-oriented Christmas presentation of music, dance and drama at approximately 6 p.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd.
A traditional nativity pageant will feature community members in full costumes.
All are invited to the reception held downstairs in the Undercroft. The event is free to the public; and at-will donations will be accepted.
To donate food for the reception, emial Linda Sikes at [email protected].
