SKOWHEGAN — The Somerset Career & Technical Center program leaders assemblies were held Nov. 13 and 27. Students from Carrabec High School, Madison Area Memorial High School, Maine Central Institute, Maine School Administrative District 53, Marti Stevens Learning Center, Skowhegan Area High School and Upper Kennebec Valley High School attend SCTC.
Students were awarded the leadership certificates based on characteristics and traits that are critical to success in the work place.
The following students were recognized for being role models by exemplifying interpersonal skills:
Certified Nursing Assistant: Brooke Ross, MAMHS, and Shawna Toothaker, SAHS.
Cooperative Education: Mariah Lancaster and Abigail Stevens, both of SAHS, and Samantha LeBeau, CHS.
Culinary Arts: Emily Johnston, MAMHS, and Anessa McGann, SAHS.
Digital Graphics: Metehya LaChance, MCI, and Jacob Ward, SAHS.
Early Childhood Education: Adelle Belanger, SAHS, and Cassidy Hamm, MCI.
Electrical Construction: Dylan Fortin, SAHS.
Outdoor Leadership & Skills: Gage Albertson and Annie Cooke, both of SAHS.
Pre-Engineering: Taylor Kruse and Aylssa Everett, both of SAHS.
Residential Construction: Justin Mack, SAHS.
Also, 120 students were recognized for perfect attendance for the first quarter.
