Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will offer support for survivors of suicide at the Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area Community Center, 304 Main St., in Waterville.

This eight-week support group is for anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one or significant person through suicide. The group will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4.

The group will be led by facilitators who have also experienced a loss by suicide.

The volunteers also will offer a six-week Grieving Parents group for those who have experienced the death of a child through illness or unexpectedly such as in an accident or by suicide. The first meeting of this group is set for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10.

Group facilitators are trained hospice volunteers who have both experienced the loss of a child.

Registration is required and there is no charge for this service.
