AUGUSTA — A 31-year-old Windsor man pleaded guilty Thursday to a charge of unlawful sexual contact with a girl who was less than age 14.
Cory L. Clark entered that plea at the Capital Judicial Center and was sentenced to serve the initial year of a five-year prison term, with the remainder suspended while he spends four years on probation.
The complaint said the offense occurred in January 2016 in Windsor.
The prosecutor, Assistant District Attorney Frayla Tarpinian, said Clark admitted to police that the offense occurred after the girl moved into his house.
Conditions of Clark’s probation prohibit him from contact with children under 16 and he is required to register under the state’s Sex Offender Registration & Notification Act.
Tarpinian also said the victim was notified through her guardian of the details of the plea agreement.
Clark had no prior criminal record that the state is aware of, Tarpinian said. The victim was notified through her guardian of the details of the plea agreement.
Clark was indicted on the charge in September 2016.
