My husband and I have three grown sons. They are all great guys, but different in temperament, interests and vocations. The most important man in their formative years was their dad, also a great guy.

But the significant part of this message is that the second most important man to them, as different as they are, was a high school physics teacher and coach by the name of Steve DeAngelis.

I worked with Steve at Maranacook Community High School as the school nurse for 27 years and saw him influence the lives of not only our sons, but hundreds of students each year. He saw each student both as individuals and also as part of our community. His influenced them to not only do their best for themselves but for what they could do for others.

Steve is one of the smartest, empathetic and capable people I have ever known. How could I want anyone other than Steve DeAngelis to be the next governor of our state?
